EdWeek 2018 - theme and dates announced

This year's Education Week will be held from Monday 6 August to Friday 10 August 2018 (Term 3, Week 3). The theme for Education Week is ‘Today's schools – creating tomorrow's world'. This theme communicates how NSW public schools are equipping young people with the skills and capabilities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing, globalised world. 2018 Meet the Teacher Night

On Monday 12th February we will be holding the 'Meet the Teacher Night'. This is an opportunity for you to meet your child's teacher if you haven't already done so, but most importantly hear about the class routines and information relating to your child's learning. 2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. NDIS continues its roll out across NSW

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in NSW in July 2016, rolling out across half of the state. The rollout for the rest of NSW started on 1 July 2017 and the NDIS will be fully rolled out by mid 2018. The NSW government is writing to the families of children and young people with disability who currently receive disability supports in the rollout areas to advise how and when they will enter the NDIS. NAPLAN Online School readiness test

NSW schools will participate in the NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test from 14 August to 22 September. There is a lot of information for schools, students and parents on the NAPLAN Online transition website. The school readiness test is a ‘practice run' for schools to assess their technology as we prepare to transition to NAPLAN Online. It provides an opportunity for schools to become familiar with the NAPLAN Online assessment platform but is not an assessment of student ability.... Read more

Tuesday night saw Mrs Tudor present to parents an overview of the L3 program and how it is implemented at Mount Kuring-gai Public School, as well as strategies for parents to support their children's home reading. Last night saw Senior Constable Steph Murray deliver an outstanding presentation on how to keep you and your children safe in the digital world. Canteen - Baked Goodies Sale

On Wednesday 14th June the Canteen will be selling home made baked goodies for the children to purchase. These have been baked by a parent who is a chef, and we very much appreciate her willingness to support the Canteen. I have attached a list of ingredients below for you to have a look at. Resilience Seminar - Raising Kids That Cope.

The school has engaged The Resilience Centre to present to the community on "Raising Kids That Cope." This seminar will take place on Wednesday 9th August, 2017 in the school hall.
